The Binance Hot Wallet Hack, Step by Step
On 29 October 2026, Binance hot wallets on ten blockchains sent about 6.3 billion USD to attacker addresses. On Ethereum, the attacker ran its own code on one hot wallet with EIP-7702. We follow the Ethereum funds from the Tornado Cash-funded operator to the wallets that hold the ETH today.
